GTA 3 Alternate Universe Script Part III (Grand Theft Aero - The Exchange) - Claude Speed (voiced by Jason Mewes)
Grand Theft Aero
Claude goes to the rooftop of the Love Media Building in Bedford Point, where Donald Love informs him of the packages that he collected in the previous mission.
Donald: Thank you for retrieving those packages, Claude. They were only a decoy, though. Sorry about that, but that's sometimes the way of business.
Claude: I understand, sometimes you need to create a diversion in order to fool the authorities.
Donald: Indeed, my real objective was hidden on the plane all along. Unfortunately, now the port authorities have seized the plane and they were stripping it down until I intervened at great personal expense.
Claude: Good thing the lift bridge to Shoreside Vale just opened.
Donald: Cross that bridge and head over to Francis International Airport, I've paid off the officials. My property will be waiting for you at the customs hangar in the aircraft's fuselage.
Claude leaves the Love Media Building.
Claude: I've got a bad feeling the Colombians are on to the same thing...
Claude goes to Francis International Airport to retrieve Donald Love's package. As Claude approaches the hangar, a Panlantic Construction Company van leaves the scene. Claude arrives at the hangar to find the airport security dead, and the Colombian Cartel being behind this and in possession of Donald Love's package.
Claude: My suspicions were well-founded - those Colombians have stolen Love's package! You're gonna pay, you bastards!!
The Colombian Cartel members attempt to kill Claude, but to no avail.
Claude: Okay, that's the last of them, I think. The package should be in the plane.
Claude then enters the Dodo.
Claude: The plane's empty! The package must be somewhere else.
As Claude heads outside, he notices another van with the Panlantic Construction logo on it.
Claude: Panlantic Construction...? There's a construction yard on Staunton Island, maybe they took the package there.
Claude then heads back to Staunton Island and arrives at the construction site in Fort Staunton, where more Colombian Cartel members lie in wait.
Claude: There's no end to these Colombian asswipes!
Claude finishes the remaining regiment of Colombian Cartel members off, and then takes the elevator to the top of the tower.
Claude: Alright, let's see where this leads us...
As Claude ascends up on the elevator, Catalina Vialpando and Miguel are seen with the package, discussing what the package might be.
Catalina: Hey, let's get this out of here. God knows what it is, but he seems to want it badly enough, so it must be worth something.
Claude makes his surprise move and with a pistol in hand, he startles Catalina and Miguel.
Miguel: Who the fuck?!
Claude: (as he fires his pistol in the air) CATALINA! MIGUEL! I came for revenge!!!
Catalina: YOU!
Claude: Shut up!
Miguel: Hey, take it easy, amigo! ¡De nada, de nada!
Catalina: I left you pouring your heart out into the gutter!
Claude: Give me the Goddamn case if you want to have an entire face!!
Miguel: Hey, don't shoot, amigo. N-n-no problem, we all friends. Here, take this.
Claude: Don't move, or I'll finish this shit!
Catalina: Don't be such a pussy!
Miguel: Well, we got no choice, baby.
Catalina betrays and shoots Miguel in the back for not standing up to Claude, then escapes by jumping off the building and landing in a pile of cardboard boxes.
Catalina: We always got a choice, you dumb bastard!
Claude: Damn! Come back here, Catalina! Damn it! I lost her.
Miguel: I'm sorry about that crazy bitch, man, they're all the same, please...¿por favor?
Claude: You betrayed me with her. Why should I help you now?!
Asuka Kasen appears around the corner, looking to avenge her brother's death.
Asuka: So the bitch got away.
Claude: Asuka?
Asuka: However, you've done me a favor, Claude-san. You're not the only one who has a score to settle with the Cartel. This shitworm killed my brother!!
Miguel: I never killed no Yakuza!
Asuka and Claude: (simultaneously) LIAR!
Miguel: Oh, please spare me! I hold no ill will towards the Yakuza!
Asuka: Now, you know FULL well we all saw the Cartel assassin! We are going to hunt down and kill all of you Colombian dogs! I'll be operating on our friend here (Asuka begins to torture Miguel) to extract information and a bit of pleasure. Claude - drop by later. I'm sure I'll require your services.
Claude: Adios Miguel. You'll see how good Asuka is with you.
Miguel: Please, amigo, don't leave me with her, man, she's...she's psycho, chico, man, please! Hey, hey amigo! AMIGO! Aarrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!! (Claude goes back down to ground level using the elevator)
The Yakuza take over the construction site, which was previously dominated by Colombian Cartel members, and as a result, there is a new makeshift second entrance to the construction site and Yakuza members from now on will spawn around Fort Staunton and attack any Colombian Cartel members in their vicinity. Claude heads towards the Love Media Building to give the package to Donald Love.
Claude: Mr. Love, here is the package. You should know I had to fight my way through a horde of Colombian Cartel members to retrieve this package.
Donald: Thank you, Claude. The Cartel is starting to really stunt the growth of our collective ventures, and I see we're starting to run out of time before they eventually catch on that it's us. For now, we better meet some other time, and hopefully that'll throw the Cartel off-guard.
Claude: I concur. See you later, Mr. Love.
Mission complete.
Escort Service
Claude goes to see Donald Love at the rooftop of the Love Media Building.
Donald: You are proving to be a safe investment, Claude. Guaranteed returns on investment are incredibly rare in these days of false hood.
Claude: Especially when no one knows who they can trust. I aim not to disappoint, Mr. Love.
Donald: Indeed. My Oriental friend and spiritual mentor needs an escort while he takes my latest acquisitions to be authenticated. Follow him, and make sure both he and my package get to Pike Creek unharmed.
Claude leaves and starts to accompany the Oriental Gentleman in his Securicar.
Claude: Alright, let's hit it!
Claude follows the Oriental Gentleman as they make their way to the lock-up, and the plan is to enter Shoreside Vale via the newly completed Porter Tunnel. However, it is not long before they encounter Colombian Cartel members who are both on foot and in their vehicles.
Claude: SHIT! More Colombian greaseballs! I'd better take them out.
Claude fends off many Colombians on Staunton Island and in the Porter Tunnel between Shoreside Vale and Staunton Island. Another group of Colombians await Claude and the Oriental Gentleman.
Claude: Those Colombians are really getting on my nerves!
Claude finishes off the the Colombian Cartel members and the Oriental Gentleman eventually and safely reaches his destination. Mission complete.
Decoy
Claude Speed goes to see Donald Love at the rooftop of the Love Media Building.
Claude: Any new lessons of the business world, Mr. Love?
Donald: Of course - if you have a unique commodity, the world and his wife will try to wrestle it from your grasp, even if they have little understanding as to its true value.
Claude: I wholeheartedly agree. Any update as to the status of the package and the Oriental gentleman?
Donald: My honorable guest was able to escape the premises before the SWAT teams cordoned off the area around the package. So, you'll need to get over there, pick up the van, and act as a decoy.
Claude: OK, I'll keep the cops busy while your partner makes good on his escape from Liberty.
Donald: Good luck, my friend...
Claude goes to the lock-up in Pike Creek where he previously helped the Old Oriental Gentleman to deliver the package for authentication. Upon arrival, he finds the place surrounded by cops and SWAT teams. Claude enters the Securicar parked near the lock-up, and accrues a six-star wanted level. Note that in this mission, the six-star wanted level is scripted so that only the police and SWAT teams will give chase to Claude in hopes of apprehending him.
Police Dispatch: All units be on lookout for Securicar in Pike Creek area. Suspect is armed and dangerous.
Claude drives away from the lock-up, luring the police away and enduring a police chase for three minutes while the Oriental Gentleman makes his escape from Liberty City. Mission passed.
Love’s Disappearance
Claude enters the Love Media Building rooftop, looking for Donald Love.
Claude: Hello? Anyone here? (walks around) Hello, Earth to Donald Love - can you hear me? It's me, Claude. (notices a package) What's this? (walks over to the package and opens it) Oh, a note from Donald himself. This should explain everything...
Donald Love (voice): Hello, Claude Speed. The Colombians and the Yakuza have gotten wind of my plans and so I've escaped Liberty City, never to return. You've been an excellent set of hands, and I will forever regret not having further opportunity to aid you in pursuing your dreams. Just remember my advice and you'll soon have an empire of your own making. Perhaps we will meet again. Sincerely, Donald Love.
Claude: Damn... Well, it's been a pleasure, Donald Love.
Claude leaves the Love Media Building for the last time. Mission complete.
Marked Man
Claude goes to see Ray Machowski at the underground toilets in Belleville Park.
Ray: You weren't followed, Claude?
Claude: No, Ray.
Ray: Good.
Claude: What's going on?
Ray: Well, this is it - I'm way over my head and I'm starting to drown here! The CIA seems to have a vested interest in SPANK and they don't like us screwing with the Cartel!
Claude: Oh, wow...
Ray: I'm a marked man, so I'm getting out of here! This place has really gone to shit anyway!
Claude: How are you going to escape Liberty City? The cops are all over the place!
Ray: My only shot is the airport - get me to my flight and I'll make it worth your while!
Claude and Ray exit the toilet block. Soon, Ray learns from a source on his pager that they can't reach Shoreside Vale via the Shoreside Lift Bridge due to it being under surveillance by the CIA, forcing them to find another route to the airport.
Ray: Ahhh... nice to breath fresh air again, even if there's so much urban stench... (coughs) (Ray's pager bleeps) What's this - the CIA has the lift bridge blocked off?! SHIT!
Claude: What about the Porter Tunnel? That'll get us there!
Ray: Alright, let's make this happen, Claude! We don't have much time!
Claude and Ray enter a vehicle and reach Francis International Airport, and the player must do this within two minutes. The player can either use the Porter Tunnel or drive through the subway system to reach Francis International Airport.
Ray: Hey Claude, thank you for everything you've done. Here's a key to the lock-up. You'll find some cash and some supplies I stashed in case things got tight. See you around!
Ray exits the vehicle and runs inside Francis International Airport.
Claude: Bon voyage, Ray Machowski.
Claude then heads to Ray's lock-up in Staunton Island, and arrives the same way the player came as the bridge is still under surveillance by the CIA. Claude reaches and opens up the door to the lock-up, revealing $22,000 in cash, a bulletproof Patriot, an M16, a Flamethrower, a Sniper Rifle and a Rocket Launcher.
Claude: Holy mother of God - thank you Ray!
Claude receives a call from Ray.
Ray: Hey Claude - again, my gratitude to you for everything. You'll make it in that city. I'm on my flight - should reach Miami in a couple of hours. If you make it south, come see an old friend, OK?
Claude: It's been a pleasure, Ray. I've got business to take of in Liberty, but I'll swing by afterwards.
Ray: Good luck, kid.
Mission complete.
Bling-Bling Scramble
Claude answers the payphone in Aspatria, and it is none other than King Courtney, the leader of the Uptown Yardies and the main antagonist of GTA Advance, who had survived the events of GTA Advance.
King Courtney (voice): Dis is King Courtney. Mi Yardie posse could do with a rude white drive and people are sayin' you the man. Get to the race ground opposite the stadium in a car and wait for the other hopefuls. I've got men watching checkpoints all over Staunton. First driver to a checkpoint gets a bling-bling, then it's on to the next stop. If you get more checkpoints than any other driver, I could have me a little work for you.
Claude hangs up the phone.
Claude: I didn't understand a single thing that guy said other than "race." Sounds like one of the Jamaicans I've heard about who run things pretty tight in Newport.
Claude gets into a vehicle and goes to a starting point behind the Liberty Memorial Coliseum, where a Patriot, a Bobcat and a Cheetah arrive at the start line. The race involves getting as many checkpoints as possible around Staunton Island before heading back to the start line. Claude collects more checkpoints than the other competitors and heads back to the start line to finish the race. Finishing in first completes the mission.
Uzi Rider
Claude answers the payphone in Aspatria.
King Courtney (voice): I need to see if you're capable of doing me dirty work. See if yous family or not, don't ya know? Two of me boys will be there any second to take you for a ride, see if you the article or sister of sifty.
Claude hangs up the phone. Two Yardie members arrive to Claude in a Perennial, and one of them gets out of the car to speak to Claude.
Yardie Member: We going for a lickkle ride into Hepburn Heights, kill me some filthy Diablo boo-boos been badding it up me lady Queen Lizzy. You do the driving and the shooting and the dallyin' in a boot. We'll make sure you don't get cold feet. Here, you'll need a 'piece.'
Claude is handed an Uzi, and he and the Yardies get into the Perennial.
Yardie Member: Let's drive! And no speak, I and I wan' see if you prove yousself.
Claude and the Yardies drive to Hepburn Heights.
Yardie Member: Hepburn Heights...let's kill me some filthy Diablos. But remember, you in this 'til the end, man. Hold ya corner.
Claude does a drive-by on 10 members of the Diablos.
Yardie Member: OK, that should do us. Now get us back to the Yard. GO GO GO NOW!
Claude and the Yardies drive to Newport. The Yardies leave the car.
Yardie Member: OK, you the kind of man we like as friend now! Ya irie, man! Real shooter.
Mission complete. The Diablos are now hostile to Claude.
Gangcar Round-Up
Claude answers the payphone in Aspatria.
King Courtney (voice): I want you to steal me some gang cars so we can do some naughty ting on our enemies' turf. I want me a Mafia Sentinel, a Yakuza Stinger and a Diablo Stallion so we can hit up any gang in Liberty. Drop them off at the garage in Newport and hear this, they're no use to me all broke up now!
Claude hangs up the phone.
Claude: (talking to himself) Those Jamaican creeps got some serious hygiene issues - I mean, how the hell do they ever manage to get laid?
Claude steals a Mafia Sentinel, a Yakuza Stinger, and a Diablo Stallion, and delivers the cars in mint condition to a lock-up in Newport to complete the mission.
Kingdom Come
Claude answers the payphone in Aspatria.
King Courtney (voice): Now hear this! Get your likkle self over to Bedford Point. There's a stash in an old jalopy I need quick smart now!
Claude hangs up the phone, and reaches a parking lot in Bedford Point, where he finds an Esperanto in it and enters it within 90 seconds. Inside the vehicle, Claude finds a letter from Catalina.
Claude: What - there's a letter. OH NO, it's from Catalina!
Catalina (in pen scribbles): I hear you've been a busy boy. Well I've been a busy girl. I think it's time you witnessed the real power of 'SPANK'! Besos y fuderes, Catalina, xxx. PS: DIE, PEEG DOG, DIE!!
Claude: SHIT! King Courtney, you son of a bitch! You and your Jamaican posse are now on my shit list, right next to Catalina and her cartel of idiots!
A Pony shows up and a SPANKed-up suicide bomber exits that vehicle, shouting insane gibberish as he approaches the Esperanto. The SPANKed up suicide bomber explodes just before reaching Claude.
Claude: HOLY SHIT! Where are these creeps coming from?! I'd better erase them real quick!
Claude survives the onslaught of suicide bombers by destroying the vans that keep summoning them to complete the mission and end this nightmarish scenario at hand. The Uptown Yardies are now hostile to Claude. Shortly, Claude calls King Courtney to express his rage at the Uptown Yardies' betrayal of him.
Post-mission phone call
Claude dials King Courtney's number.
Claude: You listen to me, you snake! What the hell was that all about?!
King Courtney: Wha? Wha gon? Claude - look - I and I had nuffin' to do with dat!
Claude: Bullshit! Some madmen attempted to kill me with these kamikaze attacks and they were dispatched by Catalina and the Colombian Cartel! What do you say about that?!
King Courtney: Listen mon, we do business with anyone who we feel like, rude boy! Da Colombians do naughty ting to ya, that ain't our fault. I and I don't care about your likkle ass!
Claude: Take your good vibes and shove it, mister! When I get a hold of you, it's gonna be lights out for you and your outfit of misfits! So long!!
Claude hangs up the phone.
Bait
Claude Speed goes to see Asuka Kasen atop the Staunton Plaza building that is under construction, where she is torturing Miguel by whipping him.
Asuka: Miguel thinks I'm mistreating him, Claude-san.
Claude: If I were the one whipping him, you'd be treating him soft in comparison.
Asuka: (chuckles) Perhaps. Still, he's revealed the extent to which Catalina fears your quest for revenge. She has three death squads dotted around Liberty, whose sole job is to hunt you down. Act as the bait, and get the death squads to follow you to Pike Creek where some of my men will be waiting for them.
Claude: Can't wait to see how this will turn out, Asuka. (Claude leaves, and Asuka then resumes whipping Miguel)
Claude goes to Shoreside Vale to find three Colombian Cartel death squads driving Sentinels - one located in Pike Creek, another near the Cochrane Dam, and the third in Cedar Grove. Upon finding the Cartel death squads, he lures them to a trap in Pike Creek, where the Cartel members get killed by the Yakuza. Mission complete.
Espresso-2-Go!
Claude goes to see Asuka Kasen atop the Staunton Plaza building that is under construction, where again she is whipping Miguel for more information.
Claude: Hey, Asuka? Consider the Colombian death squads outta the picture.
Asuka: Ugghh, Miguel certainly has some of that famous Latin stamina, I'm quite exhausted.
Claude: I've always known Miguel to be a real pain, it doesn't surprise me one bit. Any info on Catalina's plans?
Asuka: We underestimated Catalina's plans for SPANK. It reaches far beyond the Colombians and the Yardies selling it on the street corners. I learned that the Cartel have a front company, the Kappa Coffee House. They've been selling SPANK through the street stalls.
Claude: Now I'm never drinking coffee again, I think I'll just stick to bottled water and soda.
Asuka: (chuckles) You should swing by my condo later once you take care of this ordeal and I'll treat you to some sake.
Claude: I'll see to it that these drugged coffee stands are put out of operation.
Asuka: Smash them to splinters, Claude-san! (Claude then leaves and Asuka once again resumes torturing Miguel)
Claude goes to find coffee stalls scattered around Liberty City: two in Portland, five in Staunton Island and two in Shoreside Vale. Upon finding the coffee stalls, Claude destroys them within 8 minutes, while avoiding backup from the Colombian Cartel in Shoreside Vale. After this, the mission is complete.
S.A.M.
Claude goes to see Asuka Kasen atop the Staunton Plaza building that is under construction, and finds that Maria Latore has joined her friend who's teaching her the art of torture, and Maria operates on Miguel.
Maria: Do we tighten it some more now, or just wait for it to turn black and fall off?
Asuka: Give it a quick prod.
Maria: Oh, what is that gooey yellow stuff? (Maria and Asuka notice Claude walking in) Oh, hey, babe!
Asuka: My handyman!
Claude: Hey Asuka and Maria! I haven't seen you in a while, Maria.
Maria: I was bored, so I came over to keep Asuka company.
Asuka: Maria's got the makings of a natural. She's managed to extract this little gem from our guest: there's a plane coming into Francis International in two hours time.
Claude: I presume it is full of Catalina's poison.
Asuka: Correct, Claude. You can avoid airport security by getting a boat out to the runway-light buoys and shooting the plane down on its approach. Collect the cargo from the debris and stash it here.
Maria: Oh, you be careful now, OK, baby?
Claude: I'll see you around, Asuka and Maria.
Asuka: Now try the chilli oil.
Claude goes to Francis International Airport either by car and risking himself getting attacked by the Colombian Cartel, or by getting a boat at a pier in Bedford Point, along with a complementary Rocket Launcher to shoot the plane down. Claude manages to reach the plane's final approach within three-and-a-half minutes in real time (three and a half hours in-game). As the plane approaches the airport, Claude shoots it down, collects 8 packages of SPANK and heads back to Fort Staunton while being chased by the cops on a five-star wanted level. When Claude arrives at the blue marker at the elevator, Ransom automatically triggers.
Ransom
Claude walks to the construction site in Fort Staunton where he had confronted Catalina and Miguel, and paired up with Asuka and Maria earlier for missions. He takes the elevator up to the usual spot, but is in for quite a surprise.
Claude: Hello? Anyone here? Asuka? Maria? Where is everybody - HOLY SHIT! So Catalina killed Asuka and Miguel and now Maria’s missing? Well, damn the luck! Hmm, another letter, eh? Let’s see what this reads... It says - “I've got your precious Maria. If you don't want her face to look like she fell out with the butcher, bring $500,000 to the Villa at Cedar Grove.” God damn it, Maria! Well, as if Catalina wasn’t already on top of my death list. You’ll be avenged, Asuka.
Claude then spits on Miguel’s dead body, which was impaled by Catalina with the whipping rod Asuka and Maria used to torture Miguel. Claude proceeds to the elevator where he’ll spawn on the ground. This is the conclusion of both S.A.M. and Ransom, and the player is awarded $45,000.
Uzi Money
Claude Speed answers the payphone in Wichita Gardens, and is introduced to D-Ice, the leader of the Red Jacks faction of the Southside Hoods.
D-Ice (voice): Yo, this is D-Ice of the Red Jacks! I got a problem: they tryin' to play me. These young punks, they come onto the streets and they got nothing but guns and SPANK on their minds. "Nines" is their tag, and purple is their flag, and each day they rock their colors is another day the "Jacks" look soft. I want you to show these punk ass bitches how a real drive-by works. Take these Nines off of here! Watch your back though, there'll be Jacks on the street who'll think you're trying to blast them, too!
Claude hangs up the phone, gets into a vehicle, and kills 20 Purple Nines members via Drive-By Shooting with a Micro Uzi within two minutes and thirty seconds to complete the mission.
Toyminator
Claude answers the payphone in Wichita Gardens.
D-Ice (voice): Those Nines are pressing me. These bitches got armored cars and now they're running SPANK and slinging it to brothers with no fear. There's a car parked up the way. There's some stuff in there to put these sissies on blast and wreck all their armored stuff.
Claude hangs up the phone, and goes to a nearby TOYZ van, which has several RC Bandits. By using remote control from the van, he finds three SPANK-loaded Securicars driving around Shoreside Vale, and uses at least three RC Bandits to destroy them and complete the mission.
Rigged To Blow
Claude answers the payphone in Wichita Gardens.
D-Ice (voice): Some effa has wired my wheels to blow. If I lose those wheels, my rep on the street will be dead. Pick up my car and take it over to the garage on St. Marks, a'right yo. Let them diffuse that, let them take care of that bomb. The clock's ticking and the wiring is messed up. One pot hole too many and that thing could blow. Now move it!
Claude hangs up the phone, and goes to get D-Ice's Infernus, parked behind his safehouse in Wichita Gardens.
Claude: Damn, what a nice car. Wish I could keep it for myself afterwards...
Upon entering it, Claude carefully drives to a garage located at the opposite part of the city in Saint Mark's in five and a half minutes. The Leone Mafia is not scripted to attack Claude during this mission. After the bomb is defused, Claude takes the car back to where he found it, making sure to keep it in mint condition, and the mission is complete.
Bullion Run
Claude answers the payphone in Wichita Gardens.
D-Ice (voice): Yo, a Federal Reserve flight just smashed down at Francis International. There's platinum all over the strip. Get a car and snatch up as much as you can. You can drop the bling off at one of my garages. This platinum is mad heavy, and will slow your wheels down some, so make regular drop-offs at the garage.
Claude hangs up the phone.
Claude: How often does that happen? I didn't even know the government transported that by plane.
Claude gets a car and drives to Pike Creek, where he finds platinum pieces scattered all over the district. As Claude collects platinum, it will make his car heavier and slower. Claude gets at least 30 pieces of platinum within six minutes and drops them off at a nearby lock-up to complete the mission. Be warned that the player will have gained a two-star wanted level by the time the mission passes during the collecting of platinum, although the wanted level clears upon mission completion.
Rumble
Claude answers the payphone in Wichita Gardens.
D-Ice (voice): Them Nines are down to a few scabby herds, but they still wanna bring it. They agreed to go toe to toe. A gang of them against two of us, or rather... two of yaw. I'd join you, but...I ain't due my parole hearing for another three months now, y'know what I mean? Go and meet my baby brother. He'll show you where they are fighting, a'right, son.
Claude hangs up the phone, and goes to get D-Ice's brother, who is waiting in the parking lot outside of Claude's Shoreside Vale safehouse and garages.
D-Ice's brother: Yo, Ice said you was comin'. There are rules: bats only, no guns, no cars. This is a battle for respect, you cool?
Claude: I'm down, bro.
D-Ice's brother: Let's go crack some skulls.
Claude and D-Ice's brother head to Staunton View Picnic Area, where the last remaining members of the Purple Nines are located, and kill them off by using a Baseball Bat. This completes the mission.
The Exchange
Claude Speed arrives at the Cartel mansion.
Cartel Members: Sí, ¡sí bueno! ¿Porqué sidio? One of these scarface idiots...
Claude is then searched by the Colombian Cartel goons and they let him through the gate, there he meets Catalina Vialpando and a goon who is holding Maria Latore as a hostage.
Claude: Okay, why did you fucking betray me?
Catalina: No, the real question is, did you turn up to rescue Maria, or to get me back?
Claude: That's gonna depend on my fickle gun!
Catalina: Well I got news for you, shooting you will be a pleasure - but dating you was only business! You are muy pequeñito, amigo. Throw over the cash.
Claude hands the briefcase with the money to Catalina, she opens the case and looks inside.
Catalina: You have been a busy boy! But you haven't learned, I'm not to be trusted. KILL THE IDIOT!
Catalina leaves and a Cartel man puts a gun to Claude's head, however, Claude elbows the Cartel man in the face and snatches his gun, then proceeds to shoot his way out of the place and heads for the Cochrane Dam in pursuit of Catalina. Depending on the player’s strategy, Claude either kills all Colombians on the mansion grounds and then gets into a Cartel Cruiser or makes a mad dash to a nearby Cartel Cruiser. The player must escape the grounds in a Cartel Cruiser in order to exit the grounds. Whether vehicle Claude takes to the Cochrane Dam afterwards is up to the player. Upon exiting the mansion grounds, Claude exits his car and watches Catalina fly away in her helicopter.
Claude: You're not getting away!
Claude makes his way to the Cochrane Dam, killing any Colombians that get in his way.
Listed below are four possible unique statements Claude can say during the course of the mission, always ending with Claude calling Catalina a bitch:
a. Come back here, you treacherous bitch!
b. You fucking bitch!
c. You're gonna pay now, bitch!
d. It's judgment day, bitch!
Claude enters the dam and nears the helicopter (eliminating every Cartel member he encounters), but Catalina gets into her helicopter after dropping Maria.
Catalina: Get this thing airborne!!
Claude: You're gonna wish I didn't do that bank robbery with you!
Claude finishes off the Cartel men and then shoots down Catalina's chopper, killing her. Depending on the player’s choice, once the Colombians have been killed, Claude either saves Maria and then kills Catalina, or kills Catalina and then rescues Maria. Afterwards, the post-mission cutscene begins and so do the Grand Theft Auto III credits. All storyline missions complete.
Reporter: Residents in Cedar Grove have been coming to terms with the emotional aftermath of a full blown war that hit the area yesterday. Local resident Clive Denver described to the police a single gunman he saw leaving the scene with a dark haired woman.
Maria: Oh, you know we're gonna have such fun, 'cos you know, you know, I love you, I, I, I, I, I really do, 'cos you're such a big strong man and that's just what I need. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh, you know, I forget. But you know how it's like, don't you?
Claude: I sure do.
Reporter: The sound of explosions shook nearby homes as people ran for cover. Several citizens were injured as gunfire was exchanged between ground forces and a helicopter circling the dam.
Clive Denver: Yeah, we got a good view down here in the gardens. When the copter finally got taken out, better than the fireworks on the 4th of July.
Reporter: With the death toll already over twenty, police are still finding bodies. There have been no official denials concerning rumors that the dead were members of the Colombian Cartel, and still no leads as to the cause of the massacre.
A brief pause in the dialogue as the screen fades to black.
Maria: I broke a nail, and my hair is ruined! Can you believe that? This one cost me fifty dolla...
Claude: Fuck you! I’m not going to repeat the same bullshit all over again! Goodbye!... (gunshot)
Maria: (briefly (and faintly) screams out of pain from the gunshot as she dies)
Credits roll.
15 in-game minutes after the Mission Passed! screen, Claude gets a phone call from a mysterious man.
Caller: Hello, Claude?
Claude: Who are you?
Caller: Remember, from the forest?
Claude: Oh yeah, I remember you.
Caller: Remember I had your girlfriend, and then she left me for you?
Claude: Yeah.
Caller: I heard about that gunfire exchange on the news! You took her down?
Claude: Yep. She's now at the bottom of a dam. Is this bad?
Caller: No! I'm calling to say congratulations. You did the right thing!
Claude: Well, thanks. I knew she would betray me, it was only a matter of time.
Caller: Yeah, I shoulda stayed away from her, too. If I knew she was such a betraying bitch back then, I would have killed her on first sight.
Claude: Yeah, that would've saved us a lot of trouble. What's done is done though. Thanks for the call, it was good talking to you again.
Caller: Me too. Catch you later, good luck.
Note that in this alternate universe, it was confirmed in 2011 that it was Carl Johnson, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas who called Claude Speed at the end of the credits, congratulating him on killing Catalina Vialpando.
